Martian Radio Theatre presents Endgame by Samuel Beckett | Program

Director’s note:
Post-apocalyptic fiction has tended to be a pretty hot ticket item for some time now. It seems we’re obsessed with imagining the world after a Diluvian event. What’s odd though is that we popularly imagine it to be a fast paced adventure through thick and thin. But what if, as we approached the end, we aren’t met with a hellish landscape or heavenly architecture but rather a completely barren environment.

This is a dark comedy. A story about a dysfunctional dystopian family at the end of the world. And all they have left are their stories, each other and their funny little games they play to pass the time.

Anneliese Beaulieu: Anneliese is excited to be part of her first project at Martian Radio Theatre! She graduated from UMass Lowell in 2018 and since has been working on music and other creative endeavors. Her most recent role was Claire in Rumors with North Shore Players. She’d like to thank the cast and crew for their passion, her parents for their encouragement, and all those who have come out to support local art.

Michael Buckley: Michael studied theatre at Middlesex Community College, and now studies at UMASS Lowell. He has been acting for almost four years, and Endgame is his tenth play. He is happy and grateful to have worked with everyone involved with this production, and hopes to work with them again. He would also like to thank his family for supporting him, and all the friends he has made through theatre, who continue to impress, inspire, and/or amaze him.

Dominic Geehan: While note his first rodeo in the theatrical bullpen, this is Dominic’s first production with Martian Radio Theatre. He spent his youth performing and singing with local theatre groups and choirs. Now a little older and wiser, he dives head first into the backstage lifestyle. He’d like to thank his mom for inspiring him to chase his dreams and support those whose dreams you believe in.

Andie Girard: Andie is very excited to be a part of the second production of Martian Radio Theater, curating costimes for End Game. They have also appeared in Martian Radio's first production, The Man Who Was Thursday, as Rosamund (aka the tall man, silk hat, and interpreter). This company has been Andies first acting work since high school, where they have also been an extra in Once Upon a Mattress and The Addams Family and have taken a lead role as Lorainne in All Shook Up. They love the opportunities this group has opened up for them and hope to see it grow even more in many years to come.

Nicholles Klevisha: Nicholles is a founding member of Martian Radio Theatre and is so thrilled to with with such old and trusted friends in another wild ride. Nicholles has performed all over Lowell from college theatres to hole-in-the-wall shops, from movie theatres and churches. They are so happy to work in The Worthen again that has been such a  great supporting home for us to find our voices. Nicholles is so grateful to all their friends and family who bear with the strange

Jessie McCoy: Jessie McCoy graduated from UMass Lowell with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Studio Art. Jessie is currently a high school art teacher and works part time at a family owned art studio in Maynard, MA teaching children ages 6-12. She is about to start pursuing a Masters in Art Education to further her career as an art teacher.

Jessie has supported numerous theatrical productions and classical music performances in front of house operations, as well as an active member on stage crews and on scenic construction teams. While in college, Jessie had the opportunity to expand her knowledge in the theatrical world and work with a number of theatre programs such as The Peacock Players, Weston Drama Program, Lawrence and Tyngsborough Theatre Programs, Boston Children’s Theatre, and the Off-Broadway Players from UMass Lowell.

Jessie knows that arts education creates a lifelong enrichment and community engagement. She is very excited to be a part of the independent Martian Radio Theatre and to support our mission in making theatre accessible to people of all ages, interests, and backgrounds.

Casey Woods: Casey Woods is an actor based here in Lowell and a student enrolled at Middlesex Community College. Casey is proud one again to be collaborating with Martian Radio Theatre, first appearing in the inaugural production of G.K. Chesterton’s The Man Who Was Thursday in Summer 2019. Casey would like to thank his fellow cast and production team for helping bring this wonderfully weird show to life, as well as all of you, for we wouldn’t be able to put on these sorts of shows without all your support, financially and morally. Enjoy our playtime.
