September 3rd and 4th: Auditions for Balefire Production’s Frankenstein
ACTORS WANTED! Balefire Productions will be holding auditions for their adapted version of Frankenstein Sept. 3rd and 4th from 6PM-9PM. Balefire’s last two productions, Crimes of the Heart and The Great Gatsby, employed creative use of Gallery Z’s space and some really juicy parts for actors to sink their teeth in. Check em out.

September 6th: On Our Terms
The Forge Theater Lab’s show week starts off September 6th debuting a new play by Mary Darling with an interesting premise.
“What if you could negotiate a one-year relationship contract with a potential partner to ensure all your expectations are met? In this provocative comedy, two people meet to do just that. As they make their way through the transaction, they share stories of previous failed relationships, in hopes that maybe this one will last.”

September 7th: Close your eyes and look
Yet another piece of original theatre featured this month is the staged audio play Close Your Eyes and Look by Daniel Bazarian. The play is a surreal trip into the lives of three characters, one of which is played by Casey Woods. Casey will also be appearing in Martian Radio Theatre’s The Man Who Was Thursday. Check out some theatre and support the scene!
“A young woman ventures back out into the night life of the city for the first time in a while. Heartache, creepy strangers, the omnipresent threat of terrorist attack -- nothing can stand in her way! (With the possible exceptions of anxiety, Uber drivers, and crappy dating apps). Close your eyes and look as Avice tries to find her way through the adventure and alienation of her evening out.”

September 21st: Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race
This is definitely one of the more unique happenings in Lowell. Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race features a series of homegrown multi-terrain human powered vehicles to tread across cobblestone, mud and the Merrimack river. Martian Radio Theatre will be there flaunting some of our strange characters from TMWWT. So come check out the strange contraptions and hangout with us for this revel of a spectacle.
September 25th: Community Yoga @Sutra Studio
“Leigh Ann Crimmings is returning to teach Community Yoga on Wednesday evenings in September! Proceeds from these class will go to the Stella Rosie Foundation. Classes are by sliding scale donation and are all levels.”
September 27th: Blow your own Pint Glass @Western Ave Studios
“Come blow your own pint glass with Mill City Glass Work in Lowell. Each glass take 20 to 30 minutes, please show up 40 min before your time slot. Once glass is completed it will have to cool down over night. Come back the next day and enjoy a cold beer from navigation brewery located next door. Cost $68”
