A Belated Program
Convention would have it that a theatre group have a program prepared before the premiere of a show, so that they can be passed out to people as they pay for their tickets and take to their seats. Typically the audience member will clutch this in their hand leaving the indent of a thumb by the end of the play, or stow it under their chair or in the cushion of the seat where it will be left behind with little thought.
Now, we had every intention in participating in this age old tradition and have our actors fill out little bios and insert a few adverts, but the strangest thing happened. We ran out of time.
So now here I am, more than a week after the show writing a post-show program of sorts. So let’s give credit where credit is due.
Cast & Crew
(From left to Right) Andie Girard, Casey Woods, Sam Wagner, Hazel Allard, Nick Klevisha, Kerry Sullivan, Zach Homer, Valerie Whiteneck, Zack Toto, and Kyle Cregg
Andie Girard - Stage Manager, Rosamund, Tall Man, Silk Hat
A singer, barista and movie theater manager from the Haverhill area, they can be found at Coffee and Cotton performing open mic or outside playing the ukulele. In this production they doubled as stage manager and as a cast member with several quick changes. Needless to say, they’re a person of many hats.
Casey Woods - Buttons, Secretary (Monday)
Local Lowell actor, Casey has been performing theatre since his Senior year in highschool and has been working consistently since. I had the pleasure of working with him in a production of the Lieutenant of Inishmore directed by Hayley Wood in 2017. Catch him in MCC’s upcoming production of Noises Off!
Samuel Wagner - Witherspoon, Gogol (Tuesday)
Samuel Wagner is a cowpoke from Dracut, MA and resides now in Amherst, NH. This is his first theatrical production but you might find him playing guitar late at night singing some comely melodies or lurking in a nearby alley scouring for trash pizza.
Hazel Allard - Anarchist, Marquis (Wednesday)
Hazel Allard is a local actor who’s performed with Balefire Productions in their productions of Sherlock Holmes and The Great Gatsby. Hazel is an enthusiast of nature and a natural enthusiast of mushrooms and all things that grub and grow in the ground.
Nick Klevisha - Director
I’m sleepy.
Kerry Sullivan - Gabriel Syme (Thursday)
Kerry is our eager protagonist and an excellent performer. A student at UML, Kerry has performed in TAP’s production of The Perfect Arrangement and sings acapella with UML’s Hawkettes. Keep an eye for this individual’s future performances.
Zach Homer - President Sunday
Zach is a very tall man with a very deep voice. He is also an excellent conversationalist who performs rap in the area. TMWWT is Zach’s first theatrical performance, but we hope it’s not his last.
Valerie Whiteneck - Professor de Worms (Friday)
Val is a Boston-based actor who’s performed for both Studio 506 and Balefire Productions in plays such as The Trojan Women, Into the Woods and Crimes of the Heart. They perform regularly in Boston hosting murder mystery events.
Zack Toto - Dr. Bull (Saturday)
Zack Toto is also new to performing theatre. He is usually on the other side of performance production, working at events setting up lights and sound and DJ’ing as well. On his freetime, he enjoys photography, recording his thoughts on a tape recorder and playing guitar.
Kyle Cregg - Gregory
Kyle started acting through an improv class at MCC and “caught the bug.” Since then, he’s worked in productions produced by UML, MCC and Studio 506. He also runs and hosts the MCC improv group, which you should absolutely go out and see.
Jessie McCoy - Cubemaster
Jessie is a scenic designer with 10+ experience associated with the Peacock Players. She also works with ceramics and glass creating very pleasing ornamental items. Check out her stuff through her instagram: @lookwhatjessiedid and message her for commissions!
Zach Brown - Sound Designer, Tech Consultant
Zach is a local percussionist, strings instrumentalist and composer from Lowell. He also works at various events, movie productions and concerts as a hand for lights and sound. A very talented individual, check out his band Fairgrounds on Facebook and Spotify!
Shawna Spady - Painter
Shawna is a local painter who designed and painted the exterior of President Sunday’s head. Her work tends to be focused on character design featuring often strange and curious distorted creatures. Keep an eye out for more of her work.
An honourable nod to our ushers: Katie, Dan Bazarian, Raysam Donko-Halm, Hayley Wood and Allison Turcotte. A tip of the hat to our host venues the Worthen House Cafe, the Luna Theater and the Eliot Church. And a salute to all of you. This production is dedicated to Dylan Days and Dale Young. Seeya next time.
