November, What is Happening!?
Good afternoon guys,
This is another edition of What is Happening!? Where I throw up a bunch of neat looking ish happening in the area. Most of the time I’m pretty familiar with the events or the people running them, but a lot are completely random findings.
Generally I’m trying to keep these public happenings pretty local and varying up the type of entertainment and the venues where they take place. Most of the time these are free to pretty cheap but I might throw up splurgey things too. We get to treat ourselves sometimes, after all.
See something interested in the gallery? Click on it! If you have a recommended event you think people should know about, go ahead and email info@theweeklyeclipse.com.

Our Projects this Month
November Issue
We’re soliciting artistic works for our November Issue of the Weekly Eclipse. Here are five reasons why you should contribute!
Free Venue Space
Gallery and venue space can be expensive, but this is a free digital way of getting your work scene and engaging it with a community. We can even post tangible products for sale using our commerce tool, if you’re trying to sell prints, paintings, pins etc.
Producing as a Habit
Most people who desire to put out a piece of art into the world will hesitate with the first few pieces for nearly ever feeling like it isn’t ready. Some of the great master composers of the millennia only had a handful of diamonds among a mountain of rushed, uninspired, banal, formulaic and common content.
It’s No Biggie
The Weekly Eclipse facilitates a safe and conducive environment where artists may experiment with their voice and expression. Aside from hosting works on our site, we also organize workshops for writers, actors and chess enthusiasts.
Networking
Meeting fellow local artists within and outside your field of interest can help start conversations on craft. Do you have a project you wanna work on but need a writer or a director or some actors? Many hands make light work.
Don’t be shy!
We’re all in the same boat.
Poe-vember and Scenes from Julius Caesar
We’re stretching the spooky season as close to Christmas as we inhumanly can. Tune in for our dramatized versions of classic Poe tales such as The Raven and The Cask of Amontillado. I hope I spelled that right.
Another side project we’re working on is short three minute video scenes from Julius Caesar to start getting our friends comfortable with film as a medium. There are opportunities to participate both on and off “stage” for both the Poe and Caesar productions. Email info@theweeklyeclipse.com if you would like to participate!
